It is important to clarify that the materials used in all modules, chatrooms, classrooms and in general the whole course is in spanish. c). - A computer with internet access. You must have the knowledge of surfing the internet, handling e-mail and chat on the web, you also need to know how to download and open PDF files and Word Documents. d). - To fill the following inscription form:

Accomplishment and Final ApprovalIn order to receive your Diploma of The Mexican Traditional Medicine and its Medicinal Plants, you will have: a). - Had paid the total amount of the Graduate. Duration of the GraduateThe 160 hours of the Graduate are divided in two modules: a). - 120 hours of study of the Theoretical Module. 6 hours daily, five days to the week, during four weeks, intensive study, readings of the texts that the professor sends by electronic mail, and consultations to sources of intelligence specialized in the network. The "Virtual Classroom of Tlahui" and the accomplishment of examinations are included here four hours to the week of class in real time in in line. b). - 40 hours in the Practical Module. 6 hours daily, five days to the week, during two weeks with practical activities of intensive character, exits to the field for collect and identification of the medicinal plants, visit the botanical garden and traditional medicine museum, practices of herbolarios product preparation, dyes, syrups, capsules, pomadas, soaps, and essences, practice of the massage, preparation and use of temazcalli. Training program Program of the Theoretical Module: 120 hours Submodule I. the Traditional Medicine of Mexico Objective: To enable the students to know and to understand history, the characteristics and the essential concepts of the Traditional Medicine of Mexico and their therapeutic methods. 1. 4. The traditional Hueseros and Mexican masajistas -- its therapeutic techniques and practices. Submodule II. Fitoterapia of Mexico Objectives: To enable to the students in the foundations for the understanding and therapeutic clinical use of the medicinal plants of Mexico. 1. A brief history on the use of medicinal plants in Mexico. 2. The methodology basic for the study of the medicinal plants of the locality; since one becomes a herbario and basic bibliography. 3. The obtaining of the medicinal plants: wild harvesting of plants; correct forms of the harvesting of plants; taken care of of the atmosphere and the natural resources; the harvesting of cultivated plants; the purchase of medicinal plants; suitable places and some recommendations; the characteristics of quality of dry plants; correct identification of the medicinal plants in the market. 4. The processing of the medicinal plants: drying, ground, storage; the simple preparation of cofoundations, infusions and macerations; simple compounds; dyes, syrups, pomadas and oils. 5. The basic picture of medicinal plants its scientific names, their common names; its traditional identification and its uses. 6. The 10 diseases more common in this region and its treatment. 7. Revision and analysis of present cases. Program of the Practical Module: 40 hours Submodule I. the Traditional Medicine of Mexico Objective: To acquire the abilities and experiences so that the students can include/understand of summarized way the essential practices of the Traditional Medicine of Mexico and their therapeutic methods. 1. Submodule II. Fitoterapia of Mexico Objectives: To initiate and to develop between the students the necessary experience for the identification and correct harvesting of the medicinal species, and the clinical-therapeutic practice on the use of the Mexican medicinal plants of the basic picture of Tlahui. 1. Diploma deliveryThe diplomas will be given in an act of closing to the students who have fulfilled the requirements of the course. The diplomas will have the recognition of the Electronic Magazine Tlahui, the Mexican Institute of Traditional Medicines Tlahuilli To C., and of the School of Infirmary of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos.
